Yoga + Reflections + Plant Based Diet Talk & Demo

Located in the countryside an easy 40 minutes from downtown Charlotte, Wild Hope Farm is the perfect getaway for a day centered around intentional living. This retreat is designed to help you relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect more deeply to yourself and  to the beautiful nature that surrounds us. At the farm, you will find yourself strolling around our wooded trails, picturesque silos, rolling pastures lined with old oak trees and 10-acre pond. The one day session includes the following: 

  • 8:30 am : Arrival, introductions, welcome by the farmhouse 

  • 8:45 - 10:15 am :  All Levels Hatha Yoga and Meditation, co-led by mother-daughter duo, Robin* and Arrington** McCoy

  • 10:15 - 11:00 am : Trailwalk

  • 11 - 12:30 pm : Celebrations and Losses Inherent in Human Connection - So often we gloss over the nuance that is inherent in human connection. In this workshop we will explore the contours of this nuance. Our workshop will include time for personal reflection, creative expression, and authentic conversation on important relationships in our lives. This workshop will provide space for celebrating what is best about these connections and for acknowledging the loss that is inherent in all human connections.

  • 12 - 1 pm : Plant based nutrition food talk & demo luncheon with Edwina Willis-Fleming

This intimate gathering is for women of all ages, stages, backgrounds, and abilities. Bring your own mat.

Please wear clothing comfortable for yoga, an extra outer layer, and sneakers for walking the trail.

The cost of the event covers food, amenities, provisions, and provides a stipend for your instructors. 

*Robin McCoy teaches yoga, writes, farms, cooks and knits.  Charlotte's been home for a long time and it's a comfortable one. But she's also familiar with eastern North Carolina and Manhattan.  Home is where the heart is.  Which means Cambridge is feeling like another home since that's where her daughter, Arrington and son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Dana live. Robin's 200 hour yoga training from Kripalu set her on the teaching path.  Working as a professional organizer set her on the path of writing- mostly about the pitfalls of owning too much stuff.  Yoga and simplicity go hand in hand.  A yoga mat is nice, but as long as you have you, you're in business!  

**Arrington is a yoga instructor, mental health counselor, and workshop facilitator based in Cambridge, MA. In her prior life she was an experiential educator, a farmer, and a backpacking instructor. All of these paths, present and past, have converged in her current vocation, which is housed in the www.human-becomings.com website.
